Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone LLP announces that the partners, attorneys and staff of Newman & Newman PC have joined Meltzer Lippe and will continue to practice under the Meltzer Lippe banner at their current offices at 460 Park Avenue 21st Floor, New York, NY.

Joining Meltzer Lippe are the following:
Stephanie Graff Newman will be counsel to our Trusts & Estates and our Private Wealth & Taxation practice groups. She brings more than 30 years of experience representing high net worth individuals and business owners in trusts and estates, wealth preservation and estate and trust administration. She has extensive experience in navigating the issues that can arise among family members and seeks to assist clients in achieving their goals while promoting family harmony. Stephanie is admitted in New York and Florida. She received her B.S. at SUNY New Paltz and her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
Jay M. Newman will be counsel to both the Corporate/Business and Real Estate practice groups. Jay represents clients in corporate and commercial transactions, including buying, selling, leasing and financing all types of businesses and real estate properties. He also represents many corporations and coop boards as outside counsel. Jay has extensive experience representing physicians in the negotiation of employment contracts, sales of medical practices, conversion to concierge practices and advice on regulatory matters. Jay is admitted in New York and Florida. He received his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and his J.D. from New York Law School.
Louis Wollin will be Counsel to the firm’s Business & Real Estate Taxation, Private Wealth Taxation, Trusts & Estates and Tax Exempt Organizations practice groups. Lou works with clients in structuring estate plans to minimize gift, estate and generation- skipping transfer tax consequences and to help clients achieve their charitable goals. Lou is admitted in New York and New Jersey. He received his B.A from Brooklyn College, his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and his LL.M in taxation at NYU School of Law.
Maria Karelas will be an associate in our Real Estate practice group representing cooperative boards as well as purchasers and sellers of condominium and cooperative apartments, brownstones, single and multi-family homes, and commercial properties. Maria is admitted in New York and received her B.A from New York University and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
