Shaya Slomovics is an Associate in the firm’s Trusts & Estates, Tax Exempt Organizations and Private Wealth & Taxation Practice Groups. Shaya advises high-net worth clients on wealth preservation, multi-generational tax planning, business structuring and charitable giving. Shaya is experienced in drafting complex wills, revocable trusts, family trusts, life insurance trusts, charitable trusts and operating and partnership agreements.
Shaya’s Tax Exempt Organizations practice includes the representation of private foundations and public charities, from formation through dissolution, monitoring compliance with state and federal regulations, and advising on administrative matters.
Shaya received his J.D., magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law. At NYU, Shaya was the Senior Notes Editor of the Journal of Law and Liberty. Prior to joining Meltzer Lippe, Shaya was an intern at the Tax and Bankruptcy Litigation Division at the New York City Law Department.
Shaya lives in Brooklyn with his wife Yocheved, a health coach and fitness instructor, and their four children. In his free time, Shaya enjoys hiking and spending time with his pet parakeet George.
