Bio

Mercy Romero Alemán is an Associate in the firm’s Corporate/Business practice group. She focuses her practice on transactional matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. In connection with these transactions, Mercy conducts due diligence, reviews client and target company information to confirm the accuracy of representations and warranties, and assists with obtaining antitrust clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.

Mercy also advises clients on their day-to-day corporate needs, including drafting stockholders’ agreements, employment agreements, indemnity agreements, escrow agreements, assignment and assumption agreements, consents, organizational documents, resolutions, and other ancillary transaction documents.

Mercy is admitted to practice in New York. She earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and her B.A. in Anthropology and Public Relations from SUNY Plattsburgh. During law school, she served as President of the Latin American Law Students Association and as a staff member of the Brooklyn Law Review.

In her free time, Mercy enjoys spending time with her rescue dog, Lily.
