Bio

Justin Cohen is an Associate in the firm’s Trust & Estate Litigation Practice Group and Mental Health & Guardianship Practice Group. Justin assists clients on contested probate proceedings, disputes between beneficiaries and fiduciaries, and genealogical and kinship matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Justin worked as a legal intern for a boutique estate litigation firm and a boutique estate planning firm in Manhattan. Justin participated in the Brooklyn Law School Disability and Civil Rights Clinic and was a judicial intern with the New York State Appellate Division, Second Department, in Brooklyn.

Justin earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. At Brooklyn Law, he was awarded the Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction Award for Excellent Achievement in Trusts and Estates, and he was a teacher’s assistant for the Trusts and Estates course. Justin was also a Student Advisor in Brooklyn Law’s Student Advising and Peer Mentorship program, where he assisted first year law students.

Justin graduated from Binghamton University with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Law, and a minor in History.
