Amit Kumar is Counsel to the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group where he represents employers in complex workplace disputes and provides strategic advice on risk mitigation and compliance.

A seasoned litigator, Amit brings over 12 years of experience in employment law. He has tried cases in federal and state courts, before both juries and judges as well as before arbitral forums, securing favorable verdicts in wage and hour, discrimination, hostile work environment, and retaliation matters. Amit has managed every phase of litigation—from pleadings, motion practice, and depositions through trial and appeal.

He has been named by Super Lawyers, to its list of “Rising Stars” as one of the top up-and-coming litigators in the New York Metropolitan area for 2017-2023 and was recognized as a Super Lawyer in the New York Metropolitan area for 2024-2025. Amit is also an active member of the South Asian Bar Association of New York.

Prior to joining the firm, Amit was the Managing Attorney of a boutique law firm in Manhattan where he represented employees in employment related litigation. This invaluable experience allows Amit to deliver clear, practical counsel to clients facing high-stakes disputes.

Amit is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York, State of New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey.
