Asish “Ash” Nelluvely is Counsel to the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. Ash is a seasoned employment attorney who has successfully represented employers in a variety of actions, including wage and hour, employment discrimination, and FMLA claims, in both State and Federal courts. Ash has also defended employers in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other fair employment practice agencies in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
Ash works with her clients to minimize the risk for potential litigation by drafting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, State, and Federal employment law. She also counsels Human Resource professionals on all aspects of employee relations, including hiring, termination, and internal investigations. Ash ensures that her client’s interests are protected by drafting employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and separation agreements.
Ash graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Notre Dame College and a Juris Doctor degree, with honors in International Law, from Albany Law School of Union University. In law school, Ash was a Senior Editor of the Albany Law Review, and a recipient of the best oralist award in Jessup Moot Court Competition.
Ash is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and New Hampshire, and in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of New York.
Ash enjoys Broadway shows, museums, and wineries in her spare time.
